Many people overlook the importance of maintaining a private Social Media account. You should always keep your profile private unless you are a celebrity or influencer.
You never know how your images and information will be used by others.
Others will not be able to view your photos or stories if you use a private account. When you use a public profile, however, it's available to everyone.
Even on a private account, the number of followers and the list of followers are accessible, but others cannot see who you really follow. I can only see a number.
Only people you allow to follow you can see who you're following. On the other hand, anyone can see who you are following and your follower lists if you have a public account.
Because the number of followers is the main reason Social Media sites exist, they want it to remain visible. The amount of followers a person has on their account is what drives social networking platforms.

To access your profile, they will have to send another friend request.
The best thing you can do if you don't want certain people to see your profile is to block them completely.
You can delete a user instead of blocking them if you think blocking them is too drastic.
A follower won't be told they've been deleted if you remove them. Instead, they will notice that they are no longer following you when they click on your profile and will need your permission to access it again.
While people you delete will be able to discover your profile, they will need to make a second request to see your entire profile.
Restricting a person involves limiting what they can see on your profile without actually deleting them.
If you want to remove them at any time, repeat the procedures above.
The number of followers on a friend's account would always be visible. Only if you're no longer friends with that person and they've moved their account from public to private mode, you'll be able to see their real list of followers.
Also, if your friend has banned you, you won't be able to search their account and, consequently, view their followers.
They can, however, still see the number of subsequent listings.
This can be achieved simply by silencing the individual. When you mute someone's posts, you won't see any further updates from them in your News Feed.
You could still look at their profile and see what they wrote. You can unmute them at any time if you want to see their posts again.
The coolest part about this feature is that the person you've muted has no idea they've been muted.
