Assassin's Creed Origins on PC is burdened by Denuvo and VMProtect

Protection systems slow down the CPU.

The PC version of Assassin's Creed Origins currently uses two protection systems, in addition to Denuvo Ubisoft has also integrated DRM VMProtect with the aim of preventing piracy. So far, nothing wrong with that. Probably the second has been added since lately Denuvo has failed twice out of two.

At the moment the milestone seems to have been reached, however some users are complaining about the excessive workload of the CPU, burdened by the two protection systems. As reported by the Revolt group, the two DRMs would bring to the CPU an additional workload equal to about 30-40% in more, a not insignificant problem for the less performing configurations and in general for the performance of the game, even if at the moment there are no particular problems in this regard.

We remember that Assassin's Creed Origins available since last Friday on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Here is our guide to getting you off to a great start.
