Skylanders Imaginators is now available

Ready, set, create! Activision Publishing, Inc., a subsidiary owned by Activision Blizzard, Inc. (NASDAQ: ATVI) announces that Skylanders ™ Imaginators is now available. For the first time ever, Portal Masters can create their own characters, crafting the most incredible Skylanders imaginable, customizing their appearance, powers, abilities, names, mottos, musical themes and more. Fans will also be able to enjoy Crash Bandicoot and Dr. Neo Cortex, Skylanders Guests of Honor, the new Skylanders Creator Mobile App and Skylanders Academy, the upcoming Netflix Original Series.

Developed by Toys For Bob, Skylanders Imaginators allows players to unleash their imaginations and bring their creations to life in a new adventure with puzzles, battles, an engaging storyline and a new roundup of heroes and villains. As part of the Creation Month celebrations, fans who purchase a Skylanders Imaginators starter pack in major national chains will receive the fully playable Kaos character as a gift. The launch of Skylanders Imaginators accompanies the release of a fun new mobile app for the Skylanders ™ Creator game that allows fans to bring their creations to life! With the same customization options as the console version of Skylanders Imaginators, players can create their own Imaginators from scratch or magically transfer their character from the console to the app using special audio technology. The app will allow fans to further express their creativity and love for Skylanders. Players can download Skylanders Creator for free from the Google Store and Play Store.
For the first time in toys-to-life history, fans will be able to immortalize their Skylanders Imaginator creations in physical forms via Skylanders Creator. Some fans will be able to 3D print their creations, turning them into Imaginator characters (limited quantities, while supplies last). Or they can create full-color Imaginator Cards of their creations, which will then be 3D printed and can be used to play in the console version of Skylanders Imaginators. Fans will be able to create a custom Skylanders Imaginators T-shirt with an image of their creation. Availability of these products varies by region and not all of these features will be available at launch.

Skylanders Imaginators is at the top of kids' wish lists this season. This year it won the prestigious “Best Family Game” in the two most important videogame fairs in the world: Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) and Gamescom. The game was included by Toys'R'Us in the list of the most wanted games for the holidays and by Toy Insider in the list of the 20 most wanted games of the holidays of 2016; it was also named one of the Best Games of 2016 by Parents magazine.
The new toys-to-life game offers fans more creative choices than ever before, including a selection of music tracks with which to customize their characters, such as "A State of Trance" by artist and DJ Armin van Buuren. The Imaginator musical style opens up a fun new way for players to express their character's personality - each style can be adapted to the players' play experience.

The story of Skylanders Imaginators takes place in a distant past where the Ancients used a mysterious power known as Mental Magic to create the Skylands and all that dwells there. Skylanders Imaginators introduces two new characters: Crash Bandicoot and his arch-enemy Dr. Neo Cortex. They will join the Skylanders Sensei line-up as 100% playable characters. In addition, the game gives Crash fans a dedicated level, “Thumpin 'Wumpa Islands”, which pays homage to the beloved 90s video game icon.
Skylanders ™ Academy, the new animated series, comedy / adventure genre, inspired by the award-winning Skylanders franchise, will debut on Netflix on October 28th. Packed with humor and sentiment, Skylanders Academy promises to keep viewers attached to their seats with epic adventures for kids of all ages. This Netflix original series will debut with 13 episodes in 190 countries, with a second season already planned for the second half of 2017.
