Knights of the Old Republic: rumors about a new chapter

These are just rumors, but they are worth reporting. Via a podcast by Bespin Bulletin it seems to have reached the rumor that a new episode of Knights of the Old Republic is in development at a studio outside Electronic Arts. The name of this mysterious developer is not yet known.

Last year it was rumored that the brand KotOR would come back with un remake. The role-playing game is considered by many not only one of the best titles dedicated to Star Wars ever produced, but by far one of the best RPGs ever. Consequently a remake or a new episode of the series would surely be welcomed with open arms.

This is also the first time that it is suggested that a remake or a new episode of the series may come from someone outside of BioWare (the studio that originally took care of it) and Electronic Arts. On the other hand Lucasfilms had already communicated that the Star Wars license would also be received by other companies. One of these was Ubisoft, which announced the development of an Open-World title set in the Star Wars universe.

Bespin Bulletin said: “From my research, I have discovered that a new Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic project is in development somewhere. I talked to a few people and found Jason Schreier said it's not about EA, it's about someone we would never expect. "
