How to make an Amazon return

As previously stated, the Amazon return of a product can take place without any reason within 30 calendar days from the time of delivery, obtaining a refund of the price. If the product is returned within 14 days from the date of delivery, the shipping costs incurred for the purchase of the product are also returned as it falls within the right of withdrawal; after these 14 days, Amazon will deduct the aforementioned expenses from the refund.

I Amazon refunds they are paid on the payment method used for the purchase or by crediting your Amazon account. In some cases, you can even get the immediate Amazon refund without having to wait for the delivery of the package to the courier for the return, in this case the credit takes place on your account.

The products to be returned must be in good condition and complete with all parts or accessories; if you have purchased a new item it must have no further damage, other than those that were present at the time of delivery, the same goes for a product Amazon used.

How Amazon returns work

However, here are the various types of returns in detail.

Returned by home collection

The return through the home collection service does not involve additional costs at the time of delivery of the package to the courier. If the return is due to your second thoughts the return costs equal to 5,75 €. If, on the other hand, the item is returned under the legal guarantee of conformity, you will not have to incur any costs for the use of the prepaid label.

The instructions for returning the package are:

  1. Print and cut out the barcode, if present, and insert it inside the package.

  3. A courier will come to collect the package at the address indicated by you within two days following the booking, if made by 20:30 (collections take place from Monday to Friday from 8:00 to 18:00).
  4. The courier will carry the transport label that he will put on the package.
  5. It will not be possible to modify or cancel the withdrawal.

Returned via Post Office or PuntoPoste

Making an Amazon return through the post office or PuntoPoste is very simple. There are no additional costs and you can find the post offices and PuntoPoste by consulting this page.

Also in this case, if the return is due to your second thoughts, the return costs of 4,00 euros will be deducted from the total refund of the product. Otherwise you will not be charged any costs.

The instructions for returning the package are:

  1. Print and cut out the barcode, if present, and insert it inside the package.
  2. Pack the item carefully to avoid damage, ideally using the original packaging.
  3. Go to the post office and deliver the package along with the return labels (sheets 2 and 3).
  4. The postal operator will apply the return labels to the package and issue you a receipt.
  5. For multiple returns, please make sure to always use the corresponding label.

Returned via non-prepaid label

If you want send the package via a courier chosen by you or if you make a made overseas, you can take advantage of non-prepaid labels which allow you to return a package by paying for the shipping costs, paying them at the time of delivery of the package to the courier or to the post office.

However, if you are making a return under the legal guarantee of conformity, the costs of returning the package will be refunded to you once the return has been received.

Returns for items purchased from third party sellers

You bought a gaming notebook from a third party vendor and now you want to return it? The return for Marketplace items it's not particularly complicated. To do this, you need to search for yourself in the online returns centere, click on Return an item and then on seller's profile, click on the link again Returns, warranties and refunds and then on the voice Seller Return Policies.

The returns and refunds process for Marketplace items is the same as we described above for items shipped directly from Amazon. After submitting the return request, the seller will contact you to let you know the outcome, if you do not receive a response within 2 working days you can submit an A-to-z Guarantee claim.

If the seller accepts the return request, he will send you an e-mail containing areturn label that you can print from Online returns center and paste on the package. Some sellers use different procedures that may indicate in the email with precise instructions to follow.

The shipping costs for the return are charged to the customer, however, remember that if the product received is faulty, damaged or does not match the description provided at the time of purchase, you can get the Amazon refund whole wheat. How to return a package

The procedure for returning a package sold or shipped by Amazon within 30 days from the delivery date also applies to articles Marketplace, in the latter case, however, the procedure will allow you to contact the seller to receive the return instructions.

To carry out the restituition of the package you have to go to the Amazon home page, in the section my orders and then click on Return or exchange items, select what you want to return and choose an option from the menu Reason for the request, then you will have to select the quantity for each item, you can also enter additional information through the voice Post comments .

Choose the option for the method of Refund among those available.

On the screen you can choose:

  • Exchange for an item of your choice. Your refund amount will be applied to the new item of your choice which will be shipped free of charge.
  • Il refund with payment method used during the purchase.
  • Refund to your Amazon account balance.

Complete the procedure by choosing the return method and printing the return label and the instructions to follow and the date and time slot in which the goods must be collected by the courier or the delivery at the post office, in this case. the latter case will be indicated to you by Amazon via e-mail at a later time.

For the reimbursement of products purchased from third party sellers, the result of the return may not be immediate. After following the item return procedure, you will receive an e-mail from the seller within 48 hours who will update you on the outcome of your request and will send you any instructions on how to return the product.

Contact the seller

If the button for the Amazon returns, visit the Seller's profile page directly and click on the button Contact the seller and follow the instructions on the screen until the e-mail with the request is sent.

Next, click on Print the label and instructions. If you don't have a printer you can email the label to a friend or, if present, select the return option without label printing. To complete, follow the instructions on the label.

In the case of products purchased from third party sellers, the outcome of the return will not be immediate. After choosing the item to return and the motivation, you will have to press the button Send return request and wait for the seller's reply (within 48 hours).

How to request the replacement of an item

If you don't want a refund but want the replacement of an article you can use the option Return or exchange items .

Also in this case, the replacement of the product sold and shipped by Amazon can take place within 30 days from the delivery date. After this deadline you will need to contact customer service. For Marketplace items it is not possible to request a replacement, but only a return with refund.

The replacement procedure is very simple: go to my orders and then click on Return or exchange items, choose the option from the menu Reason for the request and indicate the quantity for each item, use the section Post comments for any additional information.

At this point you have to select the option of Replacement and accept the message telling you to return the item within 30 days. Select the return method from those available and create the return label. A replacement order will be automatically created using the same type of original shipment, so if, for example, you purchased as an Amazon Prime customer, with 1-day shipping, the new item will be sent back in the same way. Problems with the order

Another possible cause for returns can be a problem with the order. If you have ordered an item and for various reasons you have problems (e.g. it did not arrive within the indicated time frame, some parts are missing, etc.), you can proceed by pressing the button Problem with the order.
