On Facebook, when you register for a personal account or page, you are assigned a precise identification code, known by the name of Profile ID. The latter is used by Facebook to be able to uniquely recognize users regardless of the username used. The founders of Facebook have the first profile IDs in numerical order, Mark Zuckerberg for example has profile ID number 1.
