Uncharted 4 Trophy Guide: A Thief's End

Uncharted 4 Trophy Guide: A Thief's End

Let's platinum Nate's latest adventure together.

The last (sadly) chapter of the beloved Uncharted series is finally available to the public and we already know that the work done by Naughty Dog has been practically perfect. But if you are a loyal fan of Nathan Drake and you are a trophy hunter, then you can't help but aim for the Platinum of Uncharted 4: End of a Thief. Well, we are here to help you accomplish this goal with our guidance.

The total trophies in the game are 56, but a good part is obtained simply by continuing the adventure and killing a certain number of enemies with specific weapons or modes. Platinum itself is not complex to obtain, but in our opinion it requires at least four runs (of course it all depends on your skill):

  • First run: enjoy the whole game without thinking about anything else, as it is the best way to fully savor the latest effort from Naughty Dog. To have a good degree of challenge, we recommend starting on Medium difficulty.
  • Second run: dedicate yourself to the collection of all hidden collectibles and missed trophies that require killing enemies in different ways, perhaps selecting the Explorer difficulty to minimize the chances of death.
  • Third run: the third run should be tackled at the highest difficulty level (Devastating) in order to unlock the relative trophy.
  • Fourth run: the last, instead, we recommend it to get the speedrun trophy, always on Explorer difficulty, so as not to worry about anything else already done previously and to get to the end of the game within the set time (the advice is given in the relative trophy).

The few trophies related to online multiplayer, of course, require a minimum of dedication but are quite simple to obtain.

If you want to make this trophy much easier, first beat the game at least once. After that you will unlock several cheats that you can enable from the bonus menu: we recommend selecting the infinite ammo cheat and use the Barok .44, a weapon capable of almost always killing in one shot. Rest assured, using the cheats does NOT disable the trophies, but to unlock the objective in question you still have to play the adventure from start to finish.

Even using these not-so-politically correct tips, however, the hardest part will be the final boss, which will be able to kill you in 1-2 shots. Its attacks are also much faster than on the lowest difficulties and dodging them can be a challenge. In any case, here too we have a trick for you: in the bonus menu you can activate the cheat of the Slow Motion, which will allow you to have much more time to avoid the boss's attacks and eliminate him in a much easier way.

  Completed! - Speedrun

Complete the game in 6 hours or less.

The speedrun trophy isn't overly complicated, as long as you follow a few very important tips:

  • Cutscenes are counted in game time, so skip all possible ones (some are locked)
  • Time stops during the loading screens and when you pause the game
  • Play on Explorer difficulty
  • Enable automatic aiming from the menu, the infinite ammo cheat and use the Barok .44
  • You don't always have to kill all the enemies: when you can, avoid them and run towards your target
  • You can safely manually save and close the game, so you don't have to finish it all in one go
  • If you die or restart from a checkpoint, the game time will still count
  • Puzzles can take a lot of time if you don't solve them perfectly and quickly; to avoid wasting precious time, you can refer to the video below

Secret Trophies [POSSIBLE SPOILERS]

  Discoverer of relics

Find the strange relics.

Among the treasures available there are also three strange relics; below you will find the exact location:

  • Chapter 9 - Strange Pendant: After solving the puzzle of the water bucket and the three crucifixes, you have to jump off the wall on the right side. Here you can hook your rope and swing up to a platform on which there is a skeleton holding the pendant.
  • Chapter 12 - Strange Relic: shortly after following the arrows with the boat, you will separate from Sam and come to an old tower on top of the island. From here you have to use your rope and slide down the mud a bit. Now head left and you will notice a small rise on which you can climb. Once on the hill in question, you will have to take a long jump into the abyss and hook the rope at the last second (the grip is far away and difficult to see). At this point you can swing up to a platform with a large "vase" on it: inside you will find the strange relic.
  • Chapter 21 - Strange Fruit: located inside the cave near the end of the mission. You will have to hook the rope to a wooden structure and lower yourself down; as you go down, you will see Avery's pirate ship below you. Continue to rappel and swing to the small cave entrance in front of you on the right side; it is quite distant and easily missed. Inside the cave you will find the strange fruit.

  Record!

Break the retro game record.

You can only get this trophy in the epilogue (last chapter) and it doesn't work in Chapter 4 when you first try the minigame. In the epilogue, in fact, you will have an extra life that gives you 500 bonus points. You will have to beat the record of 3.500 points, with a little practice and a few tricks you will succeed quite easily. First of all make sure you collect most of the apples and don't die, and of course you have to finish the minigame as quickly as possible. Also, the bonus life is inside one of the crates at the beginning of the level: if you don't get it, you won't be able to beat the high score.

  Glamorous photographer

Take a picture of Sully.

  Swordsman

Parry all of Rafe's attacks in the final fencing duel without being injured.

First, to make things easier for you, start the fight from the main menu and select the Explorer difficulty. This way, Rafe's moves will be slow and you'll have time to parry the attacks, if it's still too much for you to enable Slow Motion mode and play it safe. It's not a particularly difficult trophy, but you have to first learn all the opponent's set of attacks to understand which side to make the saves in order not to suffer damage. In any case, if you get hit you can safely restart from the last checkpoint, and there will be several over the course of the battle.

Hoping that this guide will be useful to you in obtaining the Platinum of Uncharted 4, we remind you first of all to fully enjoy the entire gaming experience by Naughty Dog, which with the fourth chapter marks the end of one of the most popular series of the videogame world.
