New details revealed about the Legendary Pokémon Xerneas and Yveltal

  • Xerneas is a Fairy-type Pokémon, the brand new type introduced in Pokémon X and Pokémon Y. See the majestic beauty of Geocontrol, Xerneas' signature move, which radiates rainbow lights from the ground around the Pokémon. Xerneas has the special ability Aurafolletto, which activates during battle and boosts the Fairy-type moves of all Pokémon on the battlefield. But beware: this ability also affects opposing Pokémon that know Fairy-type moves!
  • Yveltal, Dark and Flying type, is the only Pokémon able to learn the Wings of Fate move, thanks to which it flies high in the sky and emits a powerful beam of red light that makes the ground below glow. The skill Auratetra of the Destruction Pokémon acts as a counterpoint to Aurafolletto, as it boosts the Dark-type moves of all Pokémon engaged in battle. This skill is extremely effective in Double and Triple Battles, when facing multiple opponents at the same time. If Yveltal is on the battlefield, a savvy player could take advantage of this by letting in Pokémon that use Dark-type moves.
  • It has been announced that the Fighting and Dark-type Pokémon Pangoro it is the evolution of the small and lively Pancham. This Pokémon has a short temper, but believes in justice and does not forgive those who take it out on the weakest. The leaf he holds in his mouth allows him to predict the opponent's moves. By waving his strong and sturdy arms, Pangoro can execute the move Martelpugno, which causes serious damage to the enemy. This move decreases the user's Speed, but has tremendous power.
  • In Pokémon X and Pokémon Y, it will be possible to meet Inkay. This Dark and Psychic-type Pokémon has the ability to deprive the enemy of its fighting spirit by flashing the patterns above its eyes, thus creating an opportunity to attack or to flee and hide. It appears that the Pokémon also uses these flashing motifs to communicate with its friends. Inkay can learn Upside down, a new Dark-type move that reverses all changes to the opponent's stats. For example, if the opponent has increased his Attack and Defense during the fight, he will suddenly find himself at a disadvantage if he is hit by Upside Down.
  • Malamar, of Dark and Psychic type, is the evolution of Inkay. This Pokémon is endowed with hypnotic powers among the strongest ever, thanks to which it can bend opponents to its will. Because of this, it is not uncommon for some humans with evil intentions to seek help from Malamar for their evil plans. Malamar can learn Hypnosis, a Psychic-type move that causes the opponent to fall into a deep sleep, preventing them from reacting.
  • Swirlix, the Fairy-type Pokémon that can only be caught in Pokémon X, has the new ability Dolcevelo, which prevents friendly Pokémon from falling asleep. This ability can come in handy in Double and Triple Battles involving Pokémon that know the Hypnosis move. Swirlix can learnAbsorb kiss, a new Fairy-type move that causes damage to the opponent by making the user regain HP. Battles will be much easier when you can attack your opponent with Kiss Absorb and at the same time restore your Pokémon's health. Swirlix only eats sweets and because of that her body is sweet and sticky like cotton candy.
  • Only available in Pokémon Y, Spritzee, a new Fairy-type Pokémon, emits a unique scent that intoxicates those who smell it. Spritzee can learnAromatherapy, a Grass-type move that emits a relaxing fragrance that can heal allies' health problems, such as sleep or poisoning.
  • It was announced that Clauncher, a previously announced Water-type Pokémon, can only be caught in Pokémon X and that Skrelp, a Water and Poison-type Pokémon, can only be caught in Pokémon Y.
