Ubisoft launches Assassin's Creed II Discovery for Nintendo Ds

Ubisoft has just announced that the highly anticipated sequel to Assassin's Creed, set in Italy, will also be available for Nintendo DS starting November 19th. In Assassin's Creed II Discovery this is the title of the chapter dedicated to Nintendo's portable console, we will naturally play Ezio Auditore but this time the scene will move to Spain where ours will go to free some members of the clique held prisoner by the Inquisitors.

UBISOFT® UNVEILS ASSASSIN'S CREED® II: DISCOVERY FOR NINTENDO DS ™

Milan, 25 September 2009 - Ubisoft officially announces that Assassin's Creed II: Discovery for Nintendo DS ™ and Nintendo DSi ™ will be available from November 19, 2009 at a price of € 39,99.

Assassin's Creed II: Discovery takes players into a new chapter in the story of Ezio Auditore, taking advantage of the full potential of the Nintendo DS. In this new adventure Ezio travels to Spain to rescue some assassins held captive by members of the Inquisition, but discovers a dark plan of the Templars to sail west to discover the New World.

"Assassin's Creed II: Discovery will allow all fans of the series to discover new elements of the story of Ezio Auditore," said Tony Key, Ubisoft vice president of marketing and sales. "The game was made specifically for Nintendo DS and Nintendo DSi and we are thrilled to be able to offer it to owners of the two Nintendo handheld systems."

Developed by Griptonite Games, Assassin's Creed II: Discovery aims to innovate the platforming genre by offering a vibrant blend of speed and spectacular stunts. Realistic scenarios and high quality graphics will be the backdrop to an engaging gaming experience, while the intuitive controls will allow players to execute assassinations with a perfect combination of agility and lethality. Nintendo DSi owners will also be able to take a picture of themselves and insert it directly into the game on some billboards bearing the words “WANTED!”.
