The very famous series of sports watches from the well-known Japanese company is about to become smart. In fact, the GSW-H1000, the first model of G-Shock smartwatch with operating system Wear OS.
G-SQUAD PRO GSW-H1000, this is its full name, it will be the first of the G-Shock series to expand with smart features. Until now, the only Casio watches that featured Wear OS were the models Pro trek, those created specifically for outdoors and trekking.
The smartwatch G-SQUAD PRO GSW-H1000 it mounts two displays: one always-on monochrome LCD, to monitor date and time information) and the other, always LCD but in color, to display all the smart part of the Google operating system).
Smart management of the GSW-H1000 goes through the proprietary official app for Android and iOS smartphones, which offers monitoring of 15 types of sports activities and 24 indoor workouts.
The GSW-H1000 display is 1,32-inch color and has a resolution of 320 300 pixels x. The battery thus guarantees one month of autonomy in clock only mode. The models have GPS, optical sensor for heart rate monitoring, compass, altimeter and barometer. Water resistance is guaranteed up to 200 meters deep, without forgetting the construction quality of the product which is renowned for its durability and resistance and which has thrilled three generations of kids (and not only). There are three color combinations (blue, black and red), with resin case, titanium back, rubber strap and mineral glass display.
The G-SHOCK GSW-H1000 will be available starting from May in the US and UK, respectively priced at $ 699 and £ 599. No information at the moment on prices and availability for the rest of Europe.

A pressure sensor detects changes in atmospheric pressure and converts the data into altitude up to 10.000 m. - Altimeter data memory
Depending on the model, up to 40 altitude data can be saved in the data memory of the watch, which can be recalled at any time. Each of the data is composed of a measured dimension and the corresponding date and time. In addition to the individual dimensions, the maximum and minimum altitude detected during a measurement are also stored. - Tide indicator
Once the location is set, the watch will display the low and high tide phases on the desired date. This function will be particularly useful for knowing in advance the trend of the tides. - Moon phase indicator
