ASUS announces Radeon RX 500 series gaming graphics cards

For exclusive performances

ASUS also introduces the RX 500 series, the new family of gaming graphics cards based on the latest AMD Radeon RX 580, RX 570, RX 560 and RX 550 GPUs and designed to guarantee extreme performance, advanced cooling, maximum reliability and customizable aesthetics to ensure the absolute best experience in any game scenario.

The new models include the high-performance series ASUS ROG Strix RX 580, RX 570 and RX 560 offering ASUS Aura Sync lighting for the most advanced customization options and gaming performance; the series ASUS Dual RX 580, specifically oriented to virtual reality applications and the world of eSports with the special patented design of the “blade” fans and 0dB technology; the very robust series ASUS Expedition RX 570, which offers superior reliability in the most intense gaming sessions and in the most difficult conditions with prolonged stresses, in addition to the models ASUS RX 560 and RX 550, ideal for more compact assembled gaming PCs.

All ASUS graphics cards adopt the technology Auto-Extreme - an exclusive and fully automated production process - and components Super Alloy Power II which improve efficiency, reduce power losses and the classic electric “hum” at full load, increase efficiency in heat dissipation and ensure an unparalleled level of quality and reliability. Also included is the utility GPU Tweak II for intuitive performance optimization and new function Gaming Booster which, with a single click, maximizes system performance, eliminating redundant processes and making all system resources available fully automatically.

The premium license of XSplit Gamecaster included - valid for one year or 14 days - allows gamers to easily stream or record their gaming sessions via a convenient on-screen overlay that also displays CPU clock speeds, temperature and VRM usage, making GPU Tweak II controls accessible: the user can then choose a gaming profile and increase performance with a simple click.

ROG Strix RX 580, RX 570 and RX 560 series

In addition to providing the most advanced features in terms of cooling and reliability, the new ROG Strix RX 580, RX 570 and RX 560 graphics cards also implement the exclusive synchronized lighting technology ASUS Aura Sync which offers the most extensive personalization options for your PC.  ROG Strix RX 580 in particular, it is available in three different configurations with clock speeds accelerated in OC mode of 1360 MHz (Standard Edition), 1380 MHz (OC Edition) and 1431 MHz (Top Edition) respectively, to ensure maximum flexibility of use. All ROG Strix RX 580 cards adopt MaxContact technology, a unique GPU cooling technology first introduced with this series, which employs an optimized heatsink with a 10x flatter surface and GPU contact area twice as high as traditional solutions, thus optimizing heat exchange. The new Strix RX 580 cards are designed for slot 2.5 and therefore also offer a greater dissipation surface, 40% larger, improving heat dissipation compared to previous solutions with 2 slot design and ensuring overall more efficient cooling and at the same time a greater silence. All ROG Strix RX 580s boast a VR-friendly design with the integration of two HDMI ports to simultaneously connect a monitor and a VR headset for immersive and engaging gaming sessions.

Solutions ROG Strix RX 570 e RX 560 adopt ASUS DirectCU II technology with heatpipe in direct contact with the GPU for better heat dissipation and 30% more effective cooling during gaming sessions than reference models. The new ROG Strix RX 500 series adopt the patented fan system with 0dB wing-blade design that increase the static pressure on the heatsink by 105% and offer incredible silence, as well as maximum resistance to dust, also boasting the IP5X certification for the most total reliability. Each of them also offers FanConnect II technology, which provides a large set of hybrid-controlled fan connectors, and offers numerous other tuning options with GPU Tweak II, to further optimize the cooling of your system.

ASUS Dual RX 580 series

Graphics cards ASUS Dual RX 580 deliver cutting-edge performance, ideal for VR gaming and esports. Thanks to the special patented design of the "blade" fans, the Dual RX 580 graphics cards offer an optimized airflow and a static pressure on the heatsink greater than 105%, while in operation they can be up to 3 times quieter than the models of reference. The innovative 0db technology of the Dual RX 580 completely stops the fans when the GPU temperature remains below a predefined level, allowing users to face not too demanding gaming sessions in complete silence. The fans are also dustproof and IP5X certified for increased reliability. These cards also boast a VR-friendly design with two HDMI ports that allow gamers to connect an external monitor and headset at the same time for immersive VR experiences.

ASUS Expedition RX 570 series

The cards ASUS Expedition RX 570 they adopt an even more resistant design that further improves reliability and durability, representing the ideal choice for gaming systems intended for particularly intense use. Double bearing fans eliminate the oil friction problem typical of traditional fans, allowing you to double overall board life and cooling efficiency. The innovative 0dB technology instead stops the fan completely if the GPU temperature remains below a predetermined threshold, offering absolute silence in less demanding gaming sessions. To properly test Expedition cards, ASUS has created iCafé Lab, a testing environment that simulates the most demanding and completely unique conditions typical of internet cafes: here each Expedition RX 570 card must pass 144 hours of dedicated tests - including a test of reboot for 2 hours and a 3D Mark test under particular stress conditions for another 15 hours - which certify its use as diskless systems and guarantee its suitability for non-stop gaming at maximum performance. Here, ASUS engineers also subject Expedition series graphics cards to extensive stability tests with popular games to ensure that each tested solution is capable of delivering the best gaming experience ever.

ASUS RX 560 and RX 550 series

Even the cards ASUS RX 560 e RX 550 they adopt dust-resistant fans and are IP5X certified under the strict International Protection Marking scheme (IP code). This certification guarantees the exclusion of dust from the board, preventing it from penetrating dust in sufficient quantity to interfere with its operation, in order to improve the levels of reliability and durability. The RX 560 model in particular adopts a dual fan scheme that offers excellent dissipation performance, while the single fan design of the RX 550 card is ideal for smaller and more compact assembled PCs.
