Resident Evil 3 Remake - 5 tricks to beat Nemesis

Is Nemesis hunting you?

Resident Evil 3 Remake has recently arrived on digital stores around the world, this means that a good amount of gamers will have to deal with the terrifying Nemesis, the iconic antagonist of this chapter.

From start to finish this awful being will be your thorn in your side, just like in 1999, following you incessantly throughout Raccoon City. If you need a hand in neutralizing it, follow this useful guide.

Before moving on to useful tips when you meet the terrible Tyrant, take a look at the other guides we have prepared for you:

1) Use the objects around you

When you are chased by Nemesis during your "adventure" in Raccoon City, you will have to pay attention to your surroundings if you want to slow it down. Two objects in particular will have to attract your interest, let's talk about red barrels and electricity generators.

When you see them, do your best to attract Nemesis to us. As soon as it approaches, shoot in their direction: the red barrels, as usual in the world of video games, will unleash a violent explosion; the generators, on the other hand, will simply spread an electrified shock wave that will temporarily paralyze everything in its vicinity. Either way, hitting the two objects will slow down the frightening monster and give you time to escape before it resumes its hunt.

2) Use the grenades

One of the best ways to slow down Nemesis is to use the grenades. They are not easily found in the game, but if you find one, keep it for him. Not only will the explosion bring him to his knees, it will also drop valuable items.

In fact, if you deal enough damage to Nemesis when he chases you, will drop some supply crates containing very useful items to the ground. Often these are accessories for your weapons, essential to give more power to your arsenal. On the other hand, if you have better weapons you will fight your enemies better and more effectively, including Nemmy (that's more likeable, right?).

3) Learn to dodge

One of the new moves introduced in Resident Evil 3 Remake consists precisely in the dodge that uses the beautiful Jill Valentine. This ability allows the protagonist to avoid many of the attacks received, including those of Nemesis. So if the latter continues to follow you relentlessly and you find yourself in a small street or building, this system will allow you to sneak as if nothing had happened, as long as you make the dodge at the right time.

In fact, in the first hours of the game, it may be difficult to get used to this mechanic, so we advise you to do a little practice. If you learn to use this skill with skill and perfection, you will benefit from a brief slowing down of time (maximum 3 seconds) which will allow you to escape or better aim.

4) Focus on the weak points

Nemesis may also decide to leave you alone for a while, allowing you to explore the city with less anxiety, but there are a few moments during the campaign where you will have to face it face to face. In these situations, you will have to concentrate on finding the weak points and keep hitting them, otherwise you risk running out of bullets and dying.

Some of Nemesis' weaknesses are more obvious than others, but during each boss fight you will have to analyze your enemy and find out which point is more sensitive. When the latter remain uncovered, be sure to use your best firearm before it's too late.

5) There is always time to run

Our last tip is probably the most obvious, but at the same time it turns out to be the best and the most effective. In fact, rather than risking your life and wasting your bullets in a head-on collision, think where you want to escape and run.

If you follow these simple tricks, Nemesis will be hoping not to find you (don't count too much on it anyway). In case you haven't purchased the game yet, you can do so here.
