This famous phrase from the movie “The good, the bad and the ugly” fits perfectly to Resident Evil 3 Remake. In fact, having your weapon loaded will set you apart from the mass of undead that have invaded Raccoon City.
After completing the game for the first time (on any difficulty), you will unlock the bonus shop which also allows you to use tricks. To access it, from the main menu go to Bonus and then Shop. How it works is pretty simple: you will earn points every time you complete an in-game challenge (such as a certain number of kills with a specific weapon). These points can then be spent to unlock alternate costumes, weapons, and munitions infinite.
Before continuing, we tell you that only the following weapons can benefit from this possibility:
- Samurai Edge Pistol - 5.600 points
- MUP pistol - 8.000 points
- CQBR Assault Rifle - 28.400 points
- Rocket Launcher - 62.400 points
- Hot Dogger (fiery knife that sets your enemies ablaze) - 7.200 points
The best weapon to complete speedruns and achieve S rank is, of course, the infinite rocket launcher. It will kill anything that stands in your way with a single but explosive blow, except Nemesis. Using weapons with infinite ammo will still allow you to get trophies / achievements and earn S rank.

Challenges and places to farm points
The best way to earn points is to kill non-stop with the different weapons. Each weapon has a specific record, while others are reserved for the total number of kills you will make.
We recommend that you do a series of manual saves in these places:
- Metro Power Station (Control Room)
- Hospital (Infirmary)
- NEST-2 (Deposit).
Once the main story is over, reload these saves again to farm the necessary kills. You can use this trick as kills are saved in your profile, so returning to places you've already visited won't reset your progress.
To get the points needed to unlock the infinite ammo for the above weapons, follow the table below and you will not have particular difficulties.

Note: After hitting a kill record, the counter will not be reset but will continue to mark each additional kill. From 100 to 130 shotgun kills, then, you only need 30 more.
