FIFA 23, the first patch also arrives on consoles: improvements for penalties and referees

After the publication of the first Title Update of FIFA 23 only for PC, a corrective patch also arrives for all versions of the new football game from the weblog Electronic Arts, which makes some small changes to the gameplay, in particular for the penalties considered by the users too easy to score.

Below, here all changes made by EA with the fix patch:

    • Reduced the accuracy of penalties when the timing composure ring is yellow or red
    • Improved the speed of technical dribbling animations for players with dribble stats below 90
    • Referees are now less likely to call fouls related to arm collisions
    • Referees are now less likely to book heavy sliding fouls

For the moment, these are only the first playful improvements made to FIFA 23: one much thicker patch it is in fact expected later in October 2022, although for the moment it is not clear what types of more or less relevant changes it will introduce and above all in which areas between gameplay and game modes.

In the meantime, the game is already getting its first successes: FIFA 23 has taken three positions in the Steam Top 10, despite being the victim of review bombing right on the Valve platform.
