Where to find them and how to complete them all.
If you are playing Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot (HERE you can find our review), surely you have already come across some secondary mission that is part of the so-called secondary stories. In this guide we will show you where to find them all and how to complete them, earning many rewards and Soul Emblems as well as leveling up much faster.
The game is divided into several parts that represent the different sagas of the Dragon Ball Z universe, each separated by Intervals. To make it easier to consult, we will divide the secondary quests according to the relative "section".

NB: some object names appear in English and some missions may not exactly match the Spanish version in terms of translation or be in English, but we will correct them in the process.
SAIYAN SAGA
TREASURE OF MASTER MUTEN
The turtle on Master Roshi's island hid his magazine. Talk to Bulma, then Turtle, then head to the objective and get Roshi's magazine. Return it to him and you will get experience points and some items.
NAM THE BEGGAR
You'll find Nam looking for help with her "company cart" in the east area of the map. Talk to the boy at the blue marker who will give you a fossil. Follow the next marker to the fossil area and talk to the man with the hat. He will take the fossil in exchange for food and water that you give to Nam. Upon completion, you will get the Nam Soul Emblem.
SMOKY FUTURE
This mission appears when you play as Gohan after learning to fly. Help Baba and you will be rewarded.
THE GENTILE GIANT
You can find this mission in the east area of the map. Talk to Android # 8 and he will ask you to help him defeat some local Red Ribbon robots. Kill the support ones first as they heal the others, then the rest. Once finished, you will be sent back to Android # 8.
PRACTICE OF TELECINESIS
You can access this mission after beating Tenshinhan as Piccolo during the Saiyan Saga. It is a battle against Tenshinhan and Jiaozi. Kill Jiaozi first as he has less health, then focus all your forces on Tenshinhan. The quest will end once they are defeated.
THE FIFTH RECRUIT
You can access this mission when you play as Piccolo during the Saiyan Saga. First, you need to catch some deer for Yajirobe. Upon your return, you will not find him as he does not want to face Piccolo. Use your Ki vision to discover a blue cave in the area; nearby, on the cliff, you will find Yajirobe and his Red Ki. Talk to him to complete the quest.
INTERVAL 1
THE PLAN OF THE PILAF BAND
This mission is found in the west area during the first Intermission when playing as Gohan and appears after the encounter with Roshi. Help Pilaf defeat the robots to complete the quest.
FORESEE THE FEAR
This mission appears after completing the previous one and finding Lunch. Talk to Bulma at her house and she will ask you to help her. Head to where Raditz landed and pick up the chip. Return to Bulma to complete the mission.
MYSTERIOUS POWER READING
Second mission obtainable from Bulma, you have to leave the Capsule Corporation and re-enter to unlock it. You will have to go back to where Raditz landed and fight some Saibamen. Upon completion, you will receive a high-quality vegetable and the Saibamen Soul Emblem.
FAMILY FACE
Last quest of the first Interval. Go back to Goku's house and you will find Taobaibai willing to talk to you. Also in this mission you will have to defeat some Saibamen and then get rewards.
FREEZER SAGA
A DIFFERENT PERSON
After completing the first Interval, the Taurus Sorcerer will have a mission for you. Enter the house and talk to Chi-Chi, who will tell you that the fridge is almost empty. You will need to bring her 2 pieces of meat and 4 carrots. If you haven't already obtained these ingredients while exploring, you can purchase them in town.
FLOATING IMAGINATION
At the beginning of this chapter, head to the Kame House and talk to Krillin to start the mission. You will have to face both Nappa and Krillin in two rather simple battles.
BAD STORY, TURTLE!
Another mission available in the Kame House at the beginning of this chapter. Talk to Turtle, who will ask you to collect some ingredients. You will need to find 6 eggs, 7 units of rice and a real tomato. Eggs are lying around inside the Capsule Corporation. Rice can be purchased at the Southeast Mountain grocery store. The royal tomato is also found in the same area; Teleport to Goku's house and head to the neighboring farm. The farmer will ask you for 10 Great Energetic Fish in return, which you can find underwater at fishing schools in the West City area. Once you have everything you need, return to Turtle to complete the mission and receive the Turtle Soul Emblem.
YAMCHA IS ALIVE!
Talk to Olong in West City. You will have to follow Yamcha's "ghost" around the city and observe him talking to several ladies. A simple battle against three robots will then arise and, in the end, you will discover the true nature of Yamcha.
A PERSECUTED NAMECCIAN
This quest will appear after meeting Guru on Planet Namek. Kill Freeza's henchmen and then look for the 4 pieces of Namek Fruit. Two are nearby, while the others are located on the smaller island just to the east. To find them more easily, we advise you to use your Ki sense.
BULMA THE EGOIST
After Vegeta finds 6 Dragon Balls in the story, Bulma will have a new mission for you. He will need 3 Iron Ore and 2 Alien Whitefish Fin Muscle. The first is easy to find, as you just have to search in the relevant places on the map. For the second, there is a fishing spot just southwest of Bulma to get it. Not a guaranteed drop, about 1 in 4 catches.
DIY TOURISTS
She appears on the map at the same time as the “Selfish Bulma” mission. Talk to the two tourists and they will ask you to find a Maristone. It may seem rather difficult at first to find out where to find it, but it's actually simpler than you think. Head to the area marked on the map and blow up all the larger rocks and mountains around. You will find the Maristone among the debris.
MELON, REBEL CHEF
This mission appears after defeating the Ginyu Squad on Planet Namek. Beat Ginyu and then help him find all the fruits. It is not a difficult quest, just head to the various areas indicated and use your Ki sense.
INTERVAL 2
AGGRESSION
Along the river that passes near Goku's house you will find a woman being attacked by the Saibamen (level 32, for your information). You have to be in Gohan's shoes to be able to help her. The quest will end once the opponents have been eliminated.
THE MYSTERY OF THE LOST TAIL
This mission is located at the Kame House, but you cannot have Vegeta in your party as he will be your opponent. Talk to Olong first, then the Supreme and you will be sent by Vegeta. Beat him, return to Olong and complete the quest.
A TYPE IN THE LEG
This mission can be activated by talking to Pual in West City, near the Capsule Corporation. Then talk to Yamcha and you will have to fight against robots with him.
YAMCHA: THE MAN, THE HERO, THE LEGEND
This mission is also activated by talking to Pual in the same place shown above. If it does not appear, after completing the previous quest, enter the Capsule Corporation and exit again. You will have to face Yamcha as Gohan, which will be a piece of cake.
THE PRIDE OF THE WARRIOR RACE
To access this mission, you must play as Piccolo and bring Raditz back to life with the Dragon Balls. All you have to do is face him and the Saibamen to complete the quest.
THE POWER OF SAIYAN
To access this mission, you must play as Gohan and bring Nappa back to life with the Dragon Balls. All you have to do is face him and the Saibamen to complete the quest.
POWER IS JUSTICE
To access this mission, you must bring Dodoria back to life with the Dragon Balls (you can do it with Gohan). All you have to do is beat him to complete the quest.
POWER IS BEAUTY
To access this mission, you must bring Zarbon back to life with the Dragon Balls (you can do it with Gohan). You will have to beat him twice to complete the quest, thus receiving double experience points.
THE TRIALS OF THE GINEW ARMY
To access this mission, you must bring the Ginyu Squad back to life with the Dragon Balls (you can do it with Gohan). Captain Ginyu is not dead so he will not be among the opponents to beat, but the other members are. Beat them for experience and their Soul Emblems.
SAGA OF THE ANDROIDS
BIZARRE BANANAS
After defeating Trunks with Goku, you can visit the world map. On the world map, press the button to access the Outer Planetary Zone (on PS4 it's the triangle). This will give you access to King Kaioh's planet. Head there and talk to Bubbles. After talking to Bulma, head to Blake's Swamp. Just use your Ki sense to find what you need.
GENIUS IN THE HAND
Talk to Dr. Briefs at Capsule Corporation. You will need to find and deliver 1 Skull Robo Gear, 1 Densite and 1 Silver Ore. The Silver Ore is common in relative locations, while the other two are obtainable in a specific way. Robo Gear is simple: head to the west area and defeat the robots. Densite is also very simple, as you just need to blow up the large mass of the place.
AN EXPLOSIVE PARTY AMONG FRIENDS
Head to Goku's house and talk to Yamcha. Reunite with the group and then defeat Vegeta in a fight. At this point, you will have to complete a race on a bipedal robot. It might be a little frustrating, but just follow the arrows and use the green circles as a boost to reach each checkpoint and extend the time.
THE MEANING OF TRAINING
When you are in Vegeta's shoes during the Androids Saga, head to the west area and talk to Tenshinhan. Defeat him to complete the quest.
YAJIROBEI AND KORIN
This mission appears in the Holy Land of Korin after Goku's license exam. Head there and talk to Yajirobe. You will need to get two Goliath catfish and a Scarlet catfish. Both can be found in the pond near Yajirobe; aim at the fish with the largest fins. The Scarlet only appears to appear if you use the bait.
YOUR FRIENDS ARE MY FRIENDS
This mission appears in the mountains area to the north after acquiring the role of Future Trunks in the Androids Saga. Talk to Android # 8 and defeat the two groups of robots in the area.
CLOSE ENCOUNTERS WITH THE PROBLEMATIC BOY
This mission appears in Ginger Town when you play as Piccolo in the Androids Saga. Talk to the tourist couple from Namek to start the quest. Head to Gizard's Wasteland and kill the dinosaur to complete it.
SAGA OF CELL
FRIENDS FOREVER
This mission will appear as soon as you leave the Time Chamber with Gohan and Goku. Head to Polinia of Darlinge to start the quest. Android # 8 needs your help; talk to him and then go to Dr. Frost's hideout. There are four files to find. Fly and use your Ki vision to find what you need among the wreckage around Dr. Frost's laboratory. Collect all four of them and eliminate the robots to complete the quest.
AMONG THE WORLDS
This quest can be obtained from Baba in Papaya Town. It will help you find some strong opponents. You will need to complete three fights against Freeza's henchmen to complete the quest.
NOT TOO FAST IN LEARNING
Pilaf and his henchmen will have this mission for you in the Holy Land of Korin. Fly over the area and use your Ki sense to find what you need. Bring it back to Pilaf and you'll have to face some robots. Eliminate them to complete the quest.
MAESTRO
This mission can be obtained from Master Roshi while training for the Cell Game. As Goku, you will have to beat Krillin. It has enough health, but it's not a complex fight.
ONCE A TEACHER ALWAYS A TEACHER
When you are in Gohan's shoes, go to the Shrine of God and talk to Piccolo. He will want to face you, so beat him to complete the quest.
CRANE SCHOOL SCOUTING
This mission can be obtained by talking to Condor and Tao Bai Bai near Orange City. Defeat the robots that appear to complete the quest.
ANIMORPHALINE ACCIDENT
This mission unlocks once you restore the Dragon Balls from Korin to his tower. You will need to retrieve a mushroom from a specific cave. Head there, but upon arrival you will not be able to enter it. Then talk to Bulma, who will send you to Mr. Popo; he will need a Golden Gazelle Antler and four Meaty River Snails, found in the Cell Game Arena area.
The golden deer is found in the surrounding woods and you can use the Ki sense to facilitate the search; some hang around the lake. Snails, on the other hand, are found on the coast; if you can't find enough, leave the area and come back as many times as needed to retrieve them all.
Once you have everything, you will be sent back to the starting area and you can complete the quest.
INTERVAL 3
FREQUENTLY ATTACKED VILLAGER
The woman near Goku's house was again attacked. Defeat the Saibamen to receive a new recipe and complete the quest.
THE NUTTY SCIENTIST
This mission can be activated by talking to Bulma in the eastern area of the map. You will need to find three rocks, so start by talking to the guy nearby who will show you where to look for them. Collect everything you find until you find what interests you.
FILLING THE POWER VACUUM
As Gohan, bring Appule back to life to access this mission. Beat him to get his Soul and Experience Crest.
NO DIRTY FIREWORKS FOR ME
As Vegeta, bring Cui back to life to access this mission. Beat him to get his Soul and Experience Crest.
LITTLE NIGHTMARES
As Vegeta, bring Cell Jr. back to life to access this mission. Beat them to get their Soul and Experience Token.
HYPERBOLIC TIME CHAMBER RENOVATIONS
After helping Dende to upgrade the Dragon Balls in the Range, you will be able to access this mission at the Shrine of God. You will need to find 1 Phantom Sand, 2 Green Crystals and 2 Red Crystals. The crystals are easy to find, just check the materials in the different areas on the map and head to the relevant caves. You can talk to Mr. Popo to find out the location of everything.
The Phantom Sand, on the other hand, can be obtained near Yamcha's Hideout.
KEEPER OF THE GUARDIAN
This quest will appear at the Shrine of God after completing the one above. As Gohan, talk to Mr. Popo. You will need to collect 15 Woodchips. Head to the east area, to the Olive Village. Most of the Woodchips can be found along the cliff, near the dead trees.
A STRANGE COUPLE
Again, this mission will appear after helping Dende improve the Dragon Balls, but you'll find it near Goku's house. As Piccolo, talk to the Taurus Sorcerer. Head to the Kame House and talk to Krillin, defeat him and return to complete the quest. You will receive the Bull Sorcerer's Soul Emblem.
CRILIN HEART OF GOLD
This mission appears at the Kame House during Intermission 3. Talk to Krillin and then head to the cave, kill the robots and complete the quest.
MAJIN BU'S SAGA
THE GROWTH OF GOTEN
Once you become Great Saiyaman as Gohan, head to Goku's house and talk to Goten. You can find the three blue fish near the house, but the probability of catching them is quite low, so it takes some time and patience. With that done, beat Goten in a fight.
UNINVITED TRAINING PARTNER
This mission appears near Goku's house at the beginning of the Majin Buu Saga. Talk to Videl and then take out some robots to complete the quest.
DADDY'S LITTLE GIRL
You can find this mission in the Lacco Village at the beginning of the saga. Talk to Marion at the harbor, who will ask you to catch a blue fish. Upon completion, you will receive Marion's Soul Emblem.
TOUGHENING UP
After obtaining a different outfit to participate in the World Tournament, talk to Trunks outside the Capsule Corporation to activate this mission. You'll need to head to Blake's Swamp and beat him in a fight.
JIAOZI THE CHAMPION
This mission appears in the Olive Village. Talk to Jiaozi and help the villagers kill 10 deer to complete the quest.
THE GREAT LADIESMAN
Head to Satan City and talk to Erasa. Eliminate another group of robots and then finish the race. Nothing difficult.
ANXIOUS ANDROID
This mission appears at Kame House after talking to Krillin and the others about Goku's return for the World Tournament. Go inside and talk to # 18. You will need to find 3 frozen rabbit meat, 3 high quality onions and 12 crayfish. If you don't have these ingredients yet, the latter two in particular can be found on farms and rivers in the Southeast Mountain area respectively.
THE GOOD OLD DAYS
This quest appears in the World Tournament Arena on the day the event takes place. Talk to the presenter, then take out the robot.
TEACHINGS FOR TOMORROW
A new area will be unlocked after the World Tournament. The mission is located in the Great Western Desert area. Talk to Nam, then head to West City, talk to the farmer and complete the timed challenge.
FAR BEYOND FREEZER
Another mission that can be activated in the desert area. Talk to Kaioshin the High and defeat Freeza to complete the quest.
SUPER SAIBAMEN
This mission appears in West City after Gohan defeated Evil Buu in the story. It's a couple of fights against some Saibamen, so nothing complicated.
END GAME MISSIONS
THE GOOD OLD GOKU
Head to the Holy Land of Korin and talk to Bora and Upa, then go to the Capsule Corporation and talk to Bulma. Kill a group of robots and then find the moss to complete the quest. You will be rewarded with the Soul Emblems of Bora and Upa.
SMALL AGAINST GOKU
This quest appears at the Shrine of God. In order to activate it, you must be as Piccolo and have neither Goku nor Gohan in your party. Talk to Dende, then head to Goku's house and talk to Gohan. You will have to fight with Goku and the longevity of the battle depends on Piccolo's level, but he is not a difficult opponent to defeat. In case you get stuck, train little one and upgrade him before trying again.
CONTINUALLY ATTACKED VILLAGER
This mission is located in Yamcha's Hideout and you must be in Gohan's shoes to be able to activate it. When finished, you will receive a special recipe.
PERPETUALLY ATTACKED VILLAGER
After completing the above mission, leave the area and return to access this new quest. Rescue the woman from the attackers again and you'll get another special recipe.
THE DIGNITY OF A FATHER
This mission is located in Satan City. Talk to Mr. Satan, then kill the dinosaur to complete the quest and get Mr. Satan's Soul Emblem.
BU THE BOTTOMLESS PIT
After completing the previous quest, reload the area and talk to Mr. Satan again. Head to Goku's house and then northeast to the fishing spot where you can catch a big fish. After that, you will need to find 4 Prime Marbled Dino Meat, 3 Shiny Rice and 1 Premium Gold Venison. Talk to Chi-Chi for suggestions on where to find the various ingredients. Dinosaurs in the central and eastern plains of the map, the grocer for the Shiny Rice and the western forest for the golden deer, on the road just south of the lake. Upon completion, you will receive Majin Buu and the Dogs Soul Emblem.
THE PARENT TRAP
First you have to be in Vegeta's shoes and not have Goku in your group. Head to the Capsule Corporation and then leave the building. Go to the blue marker to talk to Bulma in the garden. Then re-enter the Capsule Corporation and go right at the end of the corridor. Exit, head to the outskirts of town and face Gotenks.
MEETING WITH SNOW
This mission is located in Polinia di Darlinge, talk to Snow. You will need to find 10 Great Energetic Fish, 10 Plain White Rice and 10 Pink Wheat. Rice and wheat can be purchased from the vendor nearby, while if you don't remember where to get Great Energetic Fish, you can check out this video.
CUTE AND CUDDLY KORIN
This mission can be activated at the Kame House. Talk to Krillin and then look for the Miaomenta, which you can find on the western side of the island near the fruit trees. Use your Ki sense.
THE RETURN OF THE CAPTAIN
This mission is located in the Lacco Village; talk to Bulma while playing as Vegeta. You will need to find all the Dragon Balls and then use them to express the desire to summon Captain Ginyu.
PURE COUPLE
As Goku, head to the World Tournament Arena and talk to Baba, then go to the Land of Kai. You will have to defeat Kid Buu.
MAKING A PROMISE
Travel to the Land of Kai and talk to Kaioshin the High. You will be asked to locate and deliver all the Dragon Balls. You don't have to use any wishes when you bring them back to Bulma.
DANGER UNKNOWN
Head to the Olive Village in the east area of the map. As Gohan, talk to the interested man, who will give you a couple of simple objectives and then end the mission by eliminating some Saibamen.
POLUNGA PART 2
As Goku, you will find this quest on Neo Namek by talking to Moori. You will have to participate in a test of wisdom, whose correct answers are as follows:
- D1: What does "Polunga" mean in our language?
- R: God of dreams.
- D2: What does Piccolo mean in Namek?
- R: Another world.
- D3: What kind of plant do we grow here?
- R: Ajisa
Once the questions are complete, Cell, Freeza and Dabra will return to life on Earth.
KING OF THE DEMON KINGDOM
After completing the “Polunga Part 2” mission, Dabra will appear on Earth at the Lucca Village. Beat him in combat to get his Soul Emblem.
PERFECTING PERFECTION
After completing the mission "Polunga Part 2", Cell will appear on Earth in the Kodaiho Lands. Defeat him to get his Soul Crest.
THE RETURN OF THE EMPEROR
After completing the mission "Polunga Part 2", Freeza will appear on the outskirts of West City. Defeat him to get his Soul Crest.
HERE IT COMES
This mission is located in the city near the Capsule Corporation. You will need to find 3 green pure crystals, 3 red pure crystals and 3 blue pure crystals. You can find them all in the mining locations on Neo Namek.
LONELY GUARDIAN
Outside the Capsule Corporation is a time machine with Bulma and Future Trunks nearby. Head to the time machine to unlock Future Trunks; shortly after, in her shoes, talk to Bulma as soon as she becomes available in the Capsule Corporation. You will have to defeat # 17 to complete the quest.
THE SINS OF THE FATHER
Obtained as soon as you enter the Capsule Corporation, near the desk on the right. To activate it, you must be as Future Trunks and not have Goku and Vegeta in your party. After a couple of cut-scenes, beat Vegeta to complete the mission.
IT'S TIME FOR A TOURNAMENT
After completing the previous mission, leave the Capsule Corporation and re-enter it. As Goku this time, talk to Bulma and help her organize and win the tournament.
THE RETURN OF BABIDS
Use the Dragon Balls and bring Babidi back, then take out his party in the west area. Defeat all the henchmen to get more Soul Insignias.
CHANGE OF HEART
To make this mission appear, just complete “Babidi's Return”.
SHADOWS OF THE RED RIBBON ARMY
Use the Dragon Balls and return # 19 and # 20, then head to the mountains area to the north and defeat them.
THE MOST FEARED OF FAMILIES
Use the Dragon Balls to return King Cold and his cronies, then head to the Kodaiho Lands. You must have Gohan, Goten and Baby Trunks in your party.
