Lionel Messi wins the 2009 Ballon d'Or

Awarded the trophy that crowns the best European footballer of 2009

France Football has published the photo of the player on the front page Lionel Messi as the best football player of the year 2009 by beating the competition of Cristiano Ronaldo (Real Madrid) and Xavi (Barcelona), winning the coveted trophy of the Pallone d'Oro 2009.


The Argentine playmaker's first words were: “It is a great honor for me to be the Golden Ball, but also to be the first Argentine in history to receive this trophy”.
